This is part of the Fabyan Preserve in Geneva, Il.  It was originally the Fabyan Estate, a 300 acre estate owned by Colonel George and Nelle Fabyan (eventual owners of the Fabyan & Co. textile business after inheriting from his father). The home  (seen in this photo) was initially their country retreat from their home in Chicago. In 1907 they hired Frank Lloyd Wright to remodel this farmhouse and then they moved here permanently and lived there until around 1939. In 1939, The Kane County Forest Preserve District of Illinois purchased the majority of the Fabyan estate and now the Frank Lloyd Wright style house is a museum.
